WELCOME existing SAM families and an extra special welcome to those families joining us for the first time. Thank you for choosing The Skating Association of Maine (SAM) for your hockey experience. SAM offers players of all ages an opportunity to learn and compete at the area's premier hockey facilities – The Camden National Bank Ice Vault. We are a community-based, volunteer-governed, nonprofit organization designed to offer a structured, educational, and cost-effective hockey experience. SAM welcomes players from all neighboring communities.
Don't forget before you leave to register with the SAM website to get all the updates sent to your email. You can also like us on Facebook!
Registration is now open for the SAM Hockey Development Clinic for players ages 7 -9. The clinic, running on Sundays starting July 12 - August 2, 2020, will be at the Camden National Bank Ice Vault from 2:45 pm - 4 pm.
The players will focus on skating, stick handling, and shooting, therefore, players must be able to skate and have a basic foundational understanding of hockey. There may be controlled scrimmages where players will have the opportunity to put learned skills immediately into action.
Registration is limited 30 on a first-come-first-served basis.
The cost to participate is $100. Payment is due at the July 12 session.
Questions should be directed to Roger Collins, Grow the Game Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Hockey Night in Maine (HNIM) schedules for U10, U12 and U14 teams are available on the HNIM webpage.
Practices or Games will be held and only cancelled if the Ice Vault is closed for inclement weather conditions. Only the SAM Hockey Chairperson can cancel a practice or game if the Ice Vault is open for business. Parents still have their personal choice to have their player attend or not attend a practice or game during inclement weather conditions.
