2016-2017 SAM Hockey Season Registration

We are pleased to announce that programing for our 2016-2017 season Tier 4 House program.

Registration with SAM, through our on-line service, is required each season for all players. This registration is separate from your USA Hockey registration.  SAM Hockey season registration allows you to enter/update your contact information, provide us with your 2016-2017 USA Hockey number and pay your tuition balance (in full or via a multi-payment payment plan) for the season. ONLINE REGISTRATION WILL BE AVAILABLE JULY 1st, 2016.


2016-2017 Registration for Tier 4 Players

Please read on for important information regarding this season's registration.

  • Practices will start Wednesday October 12th, 2016
  • All players must be registered with USAH and SAM for the 2016-2017 season before his/her first skate or else he/she will not be allowed to practice with their group.  NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • There will not be any paper registrations.  All registrations must be made through our on-line service.
  • Please note that once again this season we have payment plan option available. After your initial registration's payment, no payment plan will require another payment until November 1, 2016.


The Skating Association of Maine (SAM) strives to provide an opportunity for every child who wants to play hockey or figure skate. The SAM Scholarship Fund is used to provide financial assistance to participants in SAM programs.

USA Hockey Consent Forms

If you didn’t get a chance during registration to print out the 2 USA Hockey consent forms that need to be completed, they can be found below.  Please note that these forms require signatures.  You can print them out, complete, sign,  and return to the registrar or hand them to your team manager .



The Skating Association of Maine (SAM) is putting together the 2016-2017 Fall Tier IV Midget Team.   The season is anticipated to be begin in late August and run through October with approximately 2-4 practices and 8- 10 games played on Sundays. Skater tuition will be around $200. 

 All interested High School skaters with a current USA Hockey registration are welcome to play.

  The Midget program is a great opportunity to help prepare for high school hockey.
